Error MsInstaller EventId 11706.

Applies to: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition.

Error Message.
 

While you are installing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition you get the following error message:

An installation package for the product Microsoft SQL Server Native Client cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'sqlncli.msi'.

The following error is registered in the Application Log of the Event Viewer .

Problem Description.

An existing SQL Native Client Installation is making the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition setup program to fail.  Probably this error is due to a previous installation attempt.
